We have hunted high and low for a mini den (or as some call it a caravan)....and with our love of all things preloved we stumbled across a 1979 Birdie Deluxe with a blue racing stripe and character to boot.. it fit the wishlist. We trekked up to the hills today and started our own version of negotiation...fell in love with it and couldn't hide it..but managed to get a tidy sum off the asking price and it is now our very own moveable little holiday house!! (gotta love gumtree and the iphone gumtree app which means I can satisfy my search urges any time of the day or night...much to Blake's disgust).
I can feel another side project coming on :) ......new retro curtains and a lick of paint inside and out and maybe some funky wallpaper to set the scene inside and it will be the perfect little getaway...or a guest room for our lucky visitors. There was talk of spraypainting a scripted stencil of "Birdie" to name our new land vessel :)
And now without further ado...I introduce "Birdie"
